The Finish Line

We ran and finished the race today. We had two goals and didn't quite reach either of them but all around it was a success, I think. We raised $2,000 and we came in second place (for stroller runners). Next year I'll make dad train harder. Thanks again for everyone's support! Love you!

You know how on NPR there is that woman who always interrupts your favorite program to harass you about donating money? You're sitting their listening to Ira Glass tell you something incredibly cool (probably about how milk is made) and then POW: "Hi this is Nina Totenberg, please give us some money, blah blah blah." You know how she's repetitive and super annoying? Please don't make me be that girl.

Second Practice

Supposedly Courtney and my dad didn't get lost this time, but I wouldn't know for sure.

Practice

I went running the other day with my dad and Courtney. We had big plans to run the actual course we'll be running for the event. They brought a map and Courtney said she knew the course really well, but somehow these two yahooes managed to get us lost. I had planned on taking some pictures but I was kind of embrassed by the whole thing and I don't have a cute running outfit yet. But next time, when I'm the navigator, I'll make sure our practice run is appropriately documented.

Progress

Thanks to some very generous donations I've managed to raise $515 so far. That's over 10% of my goal. You guys are awesome!

There have been some complaints that I didn't actually prove my cuteness. So without further ado:

If while looking at these pictures you smiled or ohhed and ahhed or made silly baby noises at your computer screen I think it's fair to say you owe me $50. However, I'll let you off the hook for that money if you donate just $20 for my run. We'll work on the honor system but I'm pretty sure you owe me.
